The Ashland High School Alumni Association, founded in 1894, is one of the oldest alumni organizations in the United States.  Each year on the first Saturday of August, alumni gather for the annual morning coffee and the evening banquet - a highly valued tradition celebrating generations of Ashland High graduates.   

 For ten years, volunteer Alan Hassell (‘65) was President of the Ashland High Alumni Association leading efforts in fundraising for scholarships benefiting graduating seniors and organizing August alumni events.  In September 2024, Alan passed the leadership torch to volunteer Carol Christlieb Jensen (‘73), who now serves as the Association’s President. 

Over the decades, dedicated alumni leadership has kept the Association’s mission alive—preserving traditions, supporting students, and strengthening ties across generations. The Ashland High Alumni Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, remains a proud symbol of Grizzly spirit and community.  

As the Association enters a new chapter the all volunteer board has focused on building upon this strong foundation. Over the past year, we have worked to expand engagement, modernize communication, and create new opportunities for alumni to connect and give back. Below are some of the initiatives and accomplishments that reflect this continued commitment to growth and service.
